A 12-light radial chandelier in the Italian mid-century vocabulary that defined Stilnovo and Sarfatti-era modernist lighting — twelve cone shades radiate outward from a central brass spine on slim brass arms, the upper spine punctuated by a single hand-cut marble sphere. Each cone is finished in painted aluminum on the outer face and gilded brass on the inner reflector, so the downcast light reads warm against the cool outer geometry.
Drawn from the 1950s–60s Italian and American mid-century chandelier tradition. Suited to grand dining rooms, primary entry foyers, two-story foyers, kitchen islands, and great-room interiors in 5,000+ sq ft estates and luxury hotels — for design-led clients drawn to the mid-century modern and Hollywood Regency vocabulary in transitional and contemporary interiors. Installation
- Licensed electrician required. Hardwired ceiling pendant via supplied canopy plate and modular suspension rod.
- Specialist installer recommended — the marble sphere is rigid but heavy; un-crate carefully and lift the fixture from the upper spine, never from the radial arms.
- Confirm ceiling support: 12-light brass with marble sphere exceeds standard junction-box rating — UL-listed fixture brace or joist anchor required.
- Hang the lower edge 30–34″ above the dining table or kitchen island, or 7 ft+ above the floor in foyer walking zones. Adjust the modular rod (11.8″ + 15.7″) on site to suit ceiling height.
- Bulbs supplied by installer. Clear candle LEDs at 2700K — clear envelope reads best with the gilded brass cone interiors.

What size dining table or room does it suit? +
The Ø 36.6″ frame suits dining tables 60–84″ long — typical of seating for 8 to 12. For kitchen islands, the fixture works above 60–84″ islands. For primary foyers, it suits 11–14 ft ceilings; for two-story foyer entries with 14 ft+ ceilings, the modular rod can be extended on request. Hang the lower edge 30–34″ above the dining table or island top.
Black or white — which should I choose? +
Choose Brass & Black for libraries, dark-wood dining rooms, contemporary art-led rooms, and gallery interiors — the high-contrast composition reads as a graphic statement against rich tones. Choose Brass & White for monochromatic interiors, Scandinavian-modern rooms, and rooms with white-on-white architectural detailing — the white reads quieter and recedes more than the black. Finish is selected at checkout.
How heavy is it and what ceiling support do I need? +
Estate-scale 12-light brass with marble sphere typically weighs 18–28 kg (40–60 lbs) assembled — at or above standard residential junction-box rating. Your electrician should install a UL-listed heavy-duty fixture brace or anchor to a structural joist. For two-story or cathedral ceilings, structural-engineer review is recommended.
What bulbs should I use? +
12 candelabra-base candle bulbs, supplied by your installer. We recommend clear-envelope candle LEDs at 2700K warm white, ≤ 25W incandescent-equivalent. Clear glass reads best against the gilded cone interiors — frosted bulbs flatten the warm-and-cool light play and are not recommended.
Is it dimmable? Lutron-compatible? +
Standard wiring is non-dimming. TRIAC-dimmable wiring is available as a custom build — please specify when contacting us before ordering. Compatible with Lutron Caséta, Diva, and forward-phase wall dimmers when paired with dimmable LED candelabra bulbs.
How do I clean the brass and marble? Custom & trade? +
Dust with a soft dry microfiber cloth. For the brass, a microfiber cloth lightly dampened with distilled water — do not use ammonia, vinegar, or commercial brass polish (Brasso and similar), as these strip the antique burnished patina. For the marble sphere, dust dry only — do not use water or stone cleaners; marble is porous. Custom builds: alternative finish combinations and longer modular rod available on request.
