Alabaster Pearl Chains · Brass or Nickel Frame · Statement Chandelier
A statement chandelier in the language of contemporary American studio lighting — graceful arched metal arms support draping pearl chains of hand-cut Spanish alabaster, evoking the timeless silhouette of a string of pearls suspended in air. Each bead is solid Aragón alabaster, drilled and strung onto integrated LED light strips that run through the interior of the pearl chains, so the entire garland glows uniformly from within when lit, making the alabaster the light source itself.
The composition reads as wearable jewelry scaled up into architecture: two clean arched lines, three swagged pearl strands, soft uniform glow throughout. Each piece is hand-cut from natural Aragón alabaster, so cloud-like veining patterns and color depth vary pearl to pearl and fixture to fixture. Suited to formal dining rooms, foyer entries, primary bedrooms, kitchen islands, luxury hotel suites, and gallery spaces in modern, transitional, contemporary-classical, and warm-organic interiors — particularly for design-savvy clients drawn to the alabaster-pearl aesthetic of contemporary studio lighting.

Hand-cut natural Spanish alabaster pearls. Each pearl is cut, drilled, and polished by hand from a single block of Aragón alabaster — natural cloud veining, color depth, and translucency vary pearl to pearl. Within a single fixture, pearls are matched in tone for visual cohesion across the chains. The piece you receive will not look identical to the photographs. This is the character of natural stone, not a flaw. Default integrated LED is non-dimmable. TRIAC-dimmable and 0–10V dimmable versions are available on request — please contact us before ordering. Custom builds may affect lead time.

Installation
- Hardwires to a standard ceiling junction box — professional installation recommended.
- For dining rooms, hang the bottom of the pearl chains 30–36″ above the tabletop. For kitchen islands, the same 30–36″ above the counter.
- For foyer entries and primary bedrooms, hang at 7 ft minimum from finished floor.
- The pearl chains are pre-attached to the metal arms before shipment — handle by the metal frame, not the alabaster pearls, when positioning.
- No bulbs to install — integrated LED is built in and pre-wired through each pearl chain.
- Verify ceiling clearance: minimum 9 ft (2.7 m), ideally 10–12 ft for proper proportion in foyers and great rooms. Verify horizontal clearance: ∅ 117 cm (46″) requires at least 5 ft total wall clearance.
- Indoor only · clean alabaster pearls with a soft dry cloth or barely damp cloth; clean metal frame with a soft dry cloth — avoid acidic household cleaners which can etch porous natural stone.

FAQ
What size space is the Parel designed for? +
At ∅ 46″ × H 36.2″ (117 × 92 cm), the Parel is well-scaled for formal dining rooms of 18–28 m² seating 6–10, foyer entries up to 22 m², primary bedrooms of 18–30 m², kitchen islands of 6–8 ft, and luxury hotel suites. Minimum 9 ft (2.7 m) ceilings; ideally 10–12 ft for proper proportion in foyer and great-room installations.
Which finish should I pick? +
Brass (pictured) is the warm-metal option — honey gold tone that suits transitional, traditional, French-classical, and warm-toned interiors. Wood floors, cream walls, and brass-toned hardware all complement it. Nickel Color is the cool-metal option — brushed silver tone that fits modern, gallery, contemporary-classical, and cool-toned interiors. Marble countertops, pale walls, and chrome hardware pair well with it. Both finishes have the same alabaster beads; the metal frame sets the room's overall tone.
Warm Light or Cool Light? +
Warm Light (3000K) gives a soft, residential, evening-friendly glow through the alabaster — the cream tones of the stone come forward, ideal for dining rooms, bedrooms, and entertaining spaces. Cool Light (4000K) gives a crisper, more neutral white through the alabaster — the stone reads more architectural and the cool tone integrates better with daytime task lighting. For most residential use, Warm Light is the safer choice; for modern minimalist or commercial applications, Cool Light delivers a more contemporary read.
Will my alabaster look exactly like the photo? +
No. Each pearl is hand-cut from a fresh block of Aragón alabaster, so cloud veining patterns, color depth, and translucency vary pearl to pearl. Within a single chandelier, the pearls in each chain are matched in tone for visual cohesion across the fixture. Between separate orders, some natural variation between fixtures is expected. The photograph shows representative character; your fixture will be unique.
Is the Parel dimmable? +
The default integrated LED is non-dimmable. TRIAC-dimmable and 0–10V-dimmable versions are available as custom builds — please contact us before ordering and specify your preferred dimming protocol so we ship the right variant. For an explanation of the difference between TRIAC and 0–10V dimming and which one suits your installation, see our technical guide on dimming protocols. Custom builds may extend lead time.
How does the LED work through the alabaster pearls? +
An LED light strip runs through the interior length of each pearl chain. The alabaster pearls are drilled and threaded onto the strip — when powered, light passes through the translucent stone walls and the entire chain glows uniformly along its length. Each pearl's unique veining becomes visible as deeper and lighter areas in the glow. There are no visible bulbs; the alabaster pearls are the light source.
Is it suitable for hospitality and commercial projects? +
Yes — this is a hospitality-grade fixture. The integrated LED system, 3000K/4000K kelvin choice, and customizable dimming protocols make it well-suited to luxury hotel suites, restaurant private dining rooms, and high-end residential projects. For project-quantity orders we coordinate matched veining tone within batches, dimming protocol, finish specification, and lead times directly. Please contact us with your project specification at the earliest stage.

Sculpted by earth,
softened by light.
Rare natural alabaster, hand-carved by master artisans and illuminated from within. Every piece is unrepeatable — a singular convergence of geology and craft.
"Alabaster does not merely hold light — it breathes with it, casting a warmth that cannot be manufactured, only discovered."
Formed through millions of years of slow crystallisation, alabaster is among the world's most ancient decorative stones. When illuminated, it yields a quiet, golden luminosity — gentle, organic, irreducibly human. Our collection exists to honour that rarity, designing forms that allow the stone to speak without interruption.
No two stones
are ever alike.
Alabaster carries within it a geological autobiography — millions of years compressed into veining, crystalline structures, and tonal shifts that no craftsman could plan or replicate. Five expressive patterns emerge most consistently in our collection.

Pure
Clear SurfaceA near-uniform honey surface with barely perceptible variation — the rarest and most meditative expression of the stone.

Ink Marbling
Flowing VeinsSoft, fluid grey veining reminiscent of East Asian ink painting — atmospheric, unhurried, deeply contemplative.

Lightning Veins
Sharp BranchingBold, branching mineral lines that fracture the surface with dramatic precision — striking from any angle and in any light.

Ice Crack
Angular FracturesGeometric fissures suspended within the stone — sculptural formations that diffuse and scatter light with quiet drama.

Snowflake
Crystalline FlecksSuspended constellations of lighter crystalline matter — a delicate drift across the surface that catches light from within.
Natural Variance Is Not a Defect
Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. If you prefer a perfectly uniform finish, this collection may not align with your expectations — and we kindly invite you to consider this before placing your order.
One material,
every room in the home.
From the grandeur of a double-height chandelier to the intimate glow of a bedside lamp — alabaster scales with intention, adapting to every room's rhythm without sacrificing presence.
Five stages of
quiet craftsmanship.
Every alabaster lamp begins as raw stone and arrives in your hands only after passing through a sequence of precise, unhurried steps — performed by artisans who know how to listen to the material before they shape it.

Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.

Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.

Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.

Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.

Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.
To own an alabaster lamp is to welcome a piece of natural sculpture into your home — shaped by the earth over millennia, refined by artisans over weeks, and completed only in the moment it is illuminated.
Radilum Design Studio

Treat it as the
rare object it is.
Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord. The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.
See it in motion.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
