Bohemia est conçue à partir d'une seule forme organique en verre qui fusionne deux volumes en une forme continue et unique — une coque externe aux couleurs éclatantes et une cavité intérieure qui reste blanc pur. Lorsqu'elle est allumée, la source lumineuse ne voit que le blanc et projette une illumination propre et neutre dans la pièce sans aucune dominante colorée. La couleur réside entièrement à l'extérieur de l'abat-jour, visible de l'extérieur comme un objet sculptural, préservant ainsi la qualité pure de la lumière.
Le verre translucide permet à la lueur intérieure de transparaître à travers la coque colorée en formant un halo lumineux doux — l'abat-jour s'illumine de l'intérieur tandis que la pièce reçoit une lumière claire par le bas. Avec ses 40 cm de diamètre et ses 21 cm de hauteur seulement, ses proportions larges et peu profondes projettent la lumière largement vers le bas sur une table ou un îlot, tandis que le verre coloré devient le point focal visuel au niveau des yeux.

L'intensité lumineuse est blanc neutre, indépendamment de la couleur de l'abat-jour. La surface intérieure est blanche pour toutes les versions — aucune lumière colorée n'est projetée sur la table ou le plafond en dessous. La couleur est une propriété de l'abat-jour en tant qu'objet, non de la lumière qu'il produit.
L'abat-jour a un aspect très différent allumé ou éteint. Éteint, le verre apparaît comme un objet couleur opaque et solide. Allumé, l'enveloppe translucide s'illumine de l'intérieur comme un halo lumineux et la forme organique devient totalement visible. La couleur de l'abat-jour affecte-t-elle la lumière dans la pièce ? +
Non — l'intérieur de chaque abat-jour Bohemia est blanc, indépendamment de la couleur que vous choisissez. L'ampoule n'illumine que la surface intérieure blanche, donc la lumière projetée vers le bas et dans la pièce est toujours propre et neutre. La couleur du verre est visible à l'extérieur de l'abat-jour et crée un effet de halo lumineux, mais elle ne teinte pas la lumière en sortie de manière significative.
Combien devrais-je suspendre au-dessus d'une table de salle à manger ? +
Avec un diamètre de 40 cm, un seul Bohemia convient à une table ronde ou carrée jusqu'à 100 cm et aux petits espaces de repas. Pour une table à manger rectangulaire standard (140–180 cm), deux suspensions alignées — espacées de 50–60 cm — offrent une couverture uniforme et une composition visuellement équilibrée. Mélanger les couleurs (par exemple un rouge et un vert) fonctionne bien dans les intérieurs éclectiques ; des couleurs assorties constituent le choix plus cohésif.
Quel type d'ampoule dois-je utiliser ? +
Une ampoule LED de 6–10W à 2700–3000K blanc chaud par douille (E26 pour les États-Unis, E27 à l'international). Le blanc chaud renforce la qualité ambiante de la lumière et complète les trois couleurs de verre. Évitez les ampoules de plus de 10W — le verre est translucide et une source très brillante peut rendre l'abat-jour trop intense sous certains angles. Les ampoules ne sont pas incluses.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
