Crystal Chandelier · Antique Gold Iron Frame · K9 Cut Crystal · 4 Sizes · E12 / E14

An antique gold iron frame carries cascading chains of K9 cut crystal jewels — each facet precision-cut to maximize light refraction and prismatic scatter. K9 crystal is an optical-grade glass with high clarity and refractive index, producing the sharp rainbow dispersion associated with quality crystal chandeliers. The slender vertical silhouette draws the eye upward, making it particularly effective in rooms where ceiling height is the architectural feature.

Four sizes step from a 5-head table-scale fixture to a 12-head installation at 120 cm across — suited to grand dining rooms, double-height entryways, and stairwells. The antique gold finish ages the metalwork away from the starkness of polished brass, giving the frame warmth and depth that reads as period-authentic rather than reproduction.

K9 Cut Crystal

Optical-grade glass with high refractive index — each facet cut to scatter light into sharp prismatic color across walls and ceiling.

Antique Gold Frame

Iron frame in a warm antique gold finish — deeper and more complex than polished brass, with the patina character of aged metalwork.

Cascading Crystal Chains

Crystal jewels strung on chains that descend in tiers — the layered drape creates a dense, luminous curtain of faceted glass.

5 Heads Compact
Diameter 52 cm 20.5″
Height 65 cm 25.6″
Chain 30 cm 12″

Dining tables up to 120 cm, bedrooms, smaller entryways. Minimum 2.6 m ceiling height recommended.

6 Heads Standard
Diameter 70 cm 27.6″
Height 95 cm 37.4″
Chain 30 cm 12″

Standard dining rooms and living rooms. Minimum 2.8 m ceiling height recommended.

8 Heads Large
Diameter 90 cm 35.4″
Height 120 cm 47.2″
Chain 30 cm 12″

Formal dining rooms, living rooms, and entryways. Minimum 3.2 m ceiling height recommended.

12 Heads Grand
Diameter 120 cm 47.2″
Height 160 cm 63″
Chain 30 cm 12″

Grand dining rooms, double-height entryways, stairwells. Minimum 4 m ceiling height required.

Ceiling height is critical for the larger configurations. The 8-head fixture is 120 cm tall and the 12-head is 160 cm tall before the 30 cm chain is added. At standard 2.4 m ceiling heights, neither will clear adequately above head level. The 12-head configuration requires a minimum 4 m ceiling and is designed for grand entryways, stairwells, and double-height spaces. Confirm your ceiling clear height before ordering.

What is K9 crystal? +

K9 is an optical-grade borosilicate glass with a high refractive index — close to that of lead crystal but without the lead content. The "K9" designation refers to the specific glass composition used in precision optical applications. When cut with multiple facets, K9 crystal breaks white light into distinct prismatic color bands and scatters them across surrounding surfaces. It is the standard material used in quality decorative crystal chandeliers and is significantly clearer and more refractive than standard float glass.

Which size suits my space? +

Ceiling height is the primary constraint. The 5-head (H 65 cm) and 6-head (H 95 cm) work in standard residential rooms with 2.6–2.8 m ceilings. The 8-head (H 120 cm) requires at least 3.2 m. The 12-head (H 160 cm) is designed for grand spaces with 4 m or more of ceiling clearance — entryways, stairwells, and formal dining rooms with high ceilings. For diameter: as a rule of thumb, the chandelier diameter (in cm) should be roughly half the shortest room dimension (in cm) for good visual proportion.

What bulbs work best with crystal? +

For maximum prismatic effect, use a clear glass LED candelabra bulb (E12/E14) with a visible filament — the point-source light of a filament-style bulb produces sharper, more defined prismatic scatter through the K9 facets than a frosted diffuser. A warm white 2700K color temperature enhances the antique gold frame. Wattage: 2–4W LED per socket is sufficient — the crystal multiplies and scatters the light across the room, making high wattage unnecessary. Bulbs are not included.

How do I clean the crystal? +

Turn off and allow the fixture to cool fully before cleaning. For light dust, use a clean dry microfiber cloth or a clean soft-bristle brush to dust individual crystals — do not spray any liquid directly onto the fixture. For deeper cleaning, individual crystal pendants can be removed from the chains, wiped with a damp cloth and a small amount of glass cleaner, then dried before rehanging. Avoid any cleaner containing ammonia on the antique gold frame — it will strip the finish.

Every room has a soul piece. This is where it hangs.

Some lights fill a room; a very few define it. An American crystal chandelier is the second kind — the fixture guests look up at first, the one the whole space quietly arranges itself around.

§ 01 · The Style

Not your grandmother's chandelier — iron nerve, crystal grace.

French crystal whispers, traditional European crystal parades. American crystal does something else: it pairs a strong, honest metal frame with just enough sparkle — tailored, modern, and easy to live with.

The Iron

A frame with a backbone.

Aged bronze and matte black — finishes borrowed from workshop and farmhouse, not from a palace. The metal draws clean, confident lines that keep the whole piece grounded and architectural.

The Light

Sparkle, rationed.

Crystal used the way a tailor uses a pocket square — a deliberate few, perfectly placed. Where European chandeliers drip with it, the American cut lets a handful of clean facets carry the whole effect.

Three worries, retired.

Every crystal buyer arrives with the same three fears. Here they are — each answered in one breath.

Worry № 1 · Shipping
What if it arrives in pieces?

It travels suspended in molded foam, every strand bagged — and if the carrier wins anyway, we replace damaged parts free.

What if it falls?

A load-bearing canopy and complete hardware come in the box. Anchored to a joist or braced electrical box, it's up for decades.

Worry № 3 · Upkeep
Won't it just collect dust?

A static duster keeps the sparkle; once a year, a mist of no-rinse crystal cleaner drips it back to brand-new. No disassembly, ever.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting

When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.

Kitchen

Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.

Dining Room

For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.

Bedroom

If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
