Cada paralume é formado a partir de papel washi de amoreira feito à mão — a mesma tradição de fabricação de papel praticada no Japão há mais de mil anos. O washi feito de fibra de amoreira (kozo) produz uma folha de excepcional resistência e translucidez: as longas fibras de escama criam uma superfície com uma textura visível e irregular que difunde a luz num brilho suave, quente e completamente sem reflexos. As lâmpadas não estão incluídas. Cada socket é E26 (EUA) ou E27 (internacional). Para as abat-jours em papel washi, recomenda-se uma lâmpada LED de 6–10W a 2700K branco quente com difusor fosco ou opal — a saída suave distribui-se uniformemente através do papel translúcido sem criar um ponto de luz visível. Evite lâmpadas de vidro transparente ou filamento nu acima de 4W — o filamento pode aparecer como um ponto brilhante através do papel washi fino.

O que é papel washi de amoreira? +
Washi é papel feito à mão, produzido a partir das fibras do xilema da planta kozo (amoreira). As fibras longas e entrelaçadas criam uma folha simultaneamente mais resistente e translúcida do que papel de celulose — difunde a luz através da sua superfície em vez de bloqueá-la, produzindo um brilho quente e suave com textura de fibra visível. Como cada folha é formada manualmente, a espessura, distribuição de fibras e padrão de superfície variam ligeiramente entre abat-jours. Isto é inerente ao artesanato, não um defeito.
Como pendurar um pendente com plug-in? +
O método mais comum é um gancho de teto — um pequeno gancho adesivo ou aparafusável montado no teto no ponto de suspensão desejado. Drape o cabo preto sobre o gancho, ajuste o comprimento da queda e conecte a uma tomada próxima. O interruptor on/off integrado no cabo controla a luz independentemente. Não é necessária qualquer fiação e nenhum furo é feito no teto se utilizar um gancho adesivo. Para configurações pesadas ou altas, recomenda-se um gancho de teto aparafusável com capacidade de carga.
Qual configuração se adequa melhor ao meu espaço? +
Para tetos padrão (2,4–3 m): as versões 3 cabeçotes P, M ou G são apropriadas — escolha pelo diâmetro para combinar com a sua mesa ou espaço. Para tetos mais altos (3–4 m): a 5 cabeçotes (A 270 cm) ou Único 220 cm criam um elemento dramaticamente vertical. Para espaços de dupla altura ou átrios acima de 4 m: as versões Único 340 ou 470 cm foram concebidas especificamente para preencher um pé-direito elevado com uma forma washi única e ininterrupta. Sempre confirme a altura livre do teto antes de encomendar uma configuração alta.
Como cuidar de uma abat-jour de papel washi? +
O papel washi é durável mas deve ser mantido seco. Evite instalar em áreas húmidas ou perto de fontes de humidade direta. Limpe suavemente com uma escova macia seca ou um acessório de aspirador de baixa sucção — não limpe com um pano húmido. Pequenas amolgadelas ou vincos podem por vezes ser aliviados humedecendo ligeiramente a área afectada com vapor a distância, deixando depois secar naturalmente. Mantenha afastado do contacto direto, pois os óleos das mãos podem deixar manchas ao longo do tempo.

Unbox
Everything is in the box: the fixture, fabric cord, inline switch, hook or wall bracket, and all the hardware.
Mount or Hang
Fix the wall bracket where you want it, or place the ceiling hook and swag the cord. A paper template makes it foolproof.
Plug In
Run the cord to any standard wall outlet. Tuck it neatly along the trim with the included clips, or let it drape as a detail.
Switch On
Flip the inline switch — or pair it with a smart plug for voice and app control — and your light is glowing.

Q1. Does it really need no wiring or electrician?
Correct — no junction box, no breaker, no electrician. Wall sconces mount with a simple included bracket; pendants hang from a discreet ceiling hook and swag across to your outlet. A paper template and all the hardware are in the box, and most installs take about five minutes.
Q2. What outlet, voltage and cord does it use?
Each light ships with the right plug for your region — US (Type A, 120V), EU (Type C, 230V) or UK (Type G, 230V) — on a standard cord of roughly 2–3 m, with longer lengths on request. Run the cord discreetly along trim with the included clips, or let a fabric or braided cord hang as part of the look. Need a specific plug or length? Tell us at checkout.
Q3. What bulb does it use, and is it dimmable?
Bulbs vary by fixture, so check the one listed on each product page. Most take a standard screw socket — E26 in North America, E27 elsewhere — while a few use other fittings. Whatever the bulb, every light is built for a warm 3000K glow and is dimmable with a compatible dimmable bulb plus an inline dimmer or smart plug.
Q4. Can I get one of your hardwired designs as a plug-in?
Almost always, yes. Tell us the model you love and your preferred cord colour and length, and we will build a plug-in cord-and-switch version — the same design and finish, ready for any outlet. Email us and we will confirm feasibility and pricing.
Q5. What about returns, warranty and support?
Every light is bench-tested before it leaves our workshop and backed by worry-free after-sales support covering the electrical components and structural integrity. If anything is wrong on arrival or in normal use, email support@radilum.com and we will make it right with a replacement, parts or refund.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
