Cast Glass Fern Leaves · Murano Vocabulary · Two Estate Sizes
A botanical sculptural chandelier in the Murano cast-glass tradition — hand-cast glass leaves modeled on the frond of the felce (Italian for fern) suspended in a layered cascade around a central armature, each leaf veined and ribbed in the casting so the foliage reads as a single living canopy under light.
Each leaf is hand-cast and individually attached to the metal armature in the studio. Suited to formal dining rooms, primary entry foyers, two-story foyers, and great-room interiors in 5,000+ sq ft estates and luxury hotels — for design-led clients drawn to the Italian mid-century cast-glass vocabulary of Mazzega and Vistosi-era Murano lighting in transitional and biophilic interiors.
Why This Fixture
Hand-Cast Murano-Style Glass
Each fern leaf hand-cast in molten glass with veining and ribbing pressed into the casting — the technique of Italian mid-century studios.
Layered Foliage Cascade
Leaves attached individually around the armature in graduated layers — placement and tip orientation vary subtly piece to piece.
Three Finish Variants
Nickel & Amber (signature), Copper & Amber (warmer), or Nickel & Clear (quietest) — sized in two estate scales.
Choose Your Scale
Compact · Ø 31.5″ × H 29.5″ (Ø 80 × 75 cm)
For dining tables 60–80″, primary foyers with 9–11 ft ceilings, primary-suite seating in 4,000–6,000 sq ft homes.
Grand · Ø 33.5″ × H 39.4″ (Ø 85 × 100 cm)
For dining tables 72–96″, primary foyers with 11–14 ft ceilings, two-story foyers, and great-room seating areas in 5,000+ sq ft estates.
Choose Your Finish
Nickel & Amber
Brushed nickel armature with warm amber cast-glass leaves. The signature variant — versatile across most US interiors.
Copper & Amber
Polished copper armature with warm amber leaves — pairs with brass and walnut interiors. The warmest reading.
Nickel & Clear
Brushed nickel with clear cast-glass leaves. Reads coolest and lightest — best for monochromatic and modern interiors.
Hand-cast glass — every piece is unique. Leaf shape, ribbing, and color depth vary; your fixture will not match the photos at the leaf level.
Reinforced ceiling support recommended. Approx. 25–40 kg (55–90 lbs) assembled — your electrician should anchor to a joist or use a UL-listed fixture brace.

Installation
- Licensed electrician required. Hardwired ceiling pendant via supplied canopy plate and chain.
- Specialist installer recommended. Cast-glass leaves are individually attached and can shift during un-crating — handle by armature, never by leaf tips.
- Hang the lower edge 30–34″ above the dining table, or 7 ft+ above the foyer floor in walking zones.
- Confirm ceiling support. 25–40 kg exceeds standard junction-box rating — UL-listed fixture brace or joist anchor required.
- Bulbs supplied by installer. E12/E14 clear candle LED at 2700K — clear envelope reads best through cast glass.

Frequently Asked
Which size and finish should I choose? +
For ceilings 9–11 ft, choose the Compact (Ø 31.5″); for 11–14 ft and two-story foyers, choose the Grand (Ø 33.5″, taller drop). Match chandelier diameter to roughly half to two-thirds of dining-table width. For finish, Nickel & Amber is the most versatile; Copper & Amber pairs with brass and walnut interiors; Nickel & Clear is the quietest, best for modern and monochromatic rooms.
How heavy is it and what ceiling support do I need? +
Approximately 25–40 kg (55–90 lbs) assembled depending on size — at or above standard residential junction-box rating. Your electrician should install a UL-listed heavy-duty fixture brace or anchor to a structural joist. Contact us for confirmed shipping weight on your chosen size.
What bulbs should I use? +
E12 or E14 candelabra-base candle bulbs (US E12 is the standard), supplied by your installer. We recommend clear-envelope candle LEDs at 2700K, ≤ 25W incandescent-equivalent. Clear glass reads best through the cast-glass leaves — frosted bulbs flatten the leaf depth and are not recommended. Bulb count varies by size; the spec sheet confirms count for your selected size.
Is it dimmable? Lutron-compatible? +
Standard wiring is non-dimming. TRIAC-dimmable wiring is available as a custom build — please specify when contacting us. Compatible with Lutron Caséta, Diva, and forward-phase wall dimmers when paired with dimmable LED bulbs. See our dimming protocols guide.
Will my fixture match the photographs? +
The armature and silhouette are made to consistent specification; the cast-glass leaves are hand-poured, so leaf shape, ribbing depth, and color saturation vary subtly between fixtures. The piece you receive will sit within the same visual language as the photographs but will be visibly distinct under close inspection.
Suitable for hospitality and trade projects? +
Yes — hospitality-grade. Hand-cast Murano-style glass and plated metal armature suit luxury hotel suites and dining rooms, restaurant private dining, and biophilic or Italian mid-century residential projects. Contact our trade desk for matched glass tone within batches and project-quantity coordination.

The Murano Series
A collection where Venetian heritage meets contemporary form — sculpted by hand in the historic furnaces of Italy.
For seven centuries, the island of Murano has guarded the secrets of glass — passed by hand, breath and fire, from one master to the next.
The Soul of Venetian Glass
Murano glass is not merely a material; it is a living art form.
Each piece in our series is hand-blown by master maestri, drawing on techniques passed down through generations. From the subtle infusion of gold leaf to the complex pulegoso bubble textures, light does not simply pass through — it transforms.
Limitless Form & Silhouette
Our masters can realize virtually any geometry, ensuring your lighting aligns perfectly with your architectural vision.
Organic Forms
Soft, flowing silhouettes inspired by nature — petals unfurling, droplets suspended mid-fall — reflecting the inherent beauty of the natural world.
Geometric Precision
Clean-lined rounds, fluted cylinders and sharp angular prisms engineered for modern interiors — disciplined volumes with luminous depth.
Heritage Classics
Avant-garde compositions of modular elements, crystalline notes and deconstructed brass frames — heirloom silhouettes reimagined for our age.
Bespoke Glass Engineering
Beyond our standard collection, we offer a fully bespoke shaping service. Whether you are scaling a chandelier for a grand hotel foyer or seeking a custom palette to align with a residential vision — our designers and artisans collaborate with you from sketch to final blow.
