Cast Iron · Caged Acrylic Diffuser · Linear Industrial
A linear industrial pendant in the language of mid-century factory and workshop lighting — a long cast-iron housing with bolted end-caps and a central junction box, suspended on twin chains from two ceiling canopies. A heavy welded wire cage wraps the underside, guarding a frosted acrylic diffuser that runs the full length of the body.
Two parallel LED strips inside the housing throw an even, daylight-quality wash through the cage and acrylic — bright enough for task work, soft enough for ambient lounge lighting. Available in three lengths from 69 cm to 130 cm, in three finishes — raw metallic, matte black, or white — for kitchen islands, workshop benches, billiard tables, and commercial bar counters.

Installation
- Hardwires to two ceiling junction boxes with twin-chain suspension — professional installation recommended.
- Plan the canopy spacing before drilling: position canopies inset slightly from the housing ends for visual balance.
- Hanging wire/chain supplied at 80 cm (31.5″); length can be adjusted by your electrician.
- No bulbs to install — twin LED strips are integrated and pre-wired.
- For kitchen-island use, hang the bottom of the housing 30–36″ above the counter.
- Indoor only · clean acrylic and metal with a soft dry cloth; avoid solvents on the white finish.

FAQ
Which length suits my space? +
The 69 cm (27.2″) suits kitchen islands and bar counters under 5 ft, breakfast nooks, and home workshops. The 100 cm (39.4″) is the most common — fits 5–7 ft islands and standard pool tables. The 130 cm (51.1″) is the statement scale for 7 ft+ islands, billiard tables, and commercial bar counters.
Is the Porringer dimmable? +
The default integrated LED is not dimmable — it will not work with standard TRIAC wall dimmers. If dimming matters for your installation, please contact us before ordering and we can supply a dimmable version (custom build, may affect lead time).
Can I get a different color temperature? +
The standard light is warm white 3000K — best for residential and casual hospitality spaces. If you need neutral white (4000K) or cool daylight (5000K) for workshop or task-heavy use, please contact us before ordering — custom CT options are available on request.
Why does it have two canopies? +
The Porringer hangs from twin chains attached to two ceiling canopies, distributing the weight of the cast-iron housing evenly and giving a more stable, level installation across longer lengths. Plan canopy positions before drilling — they should sit slightly inset from the housing ends.
Do I need to install bulbs? +
No — the twin LED strips are integrated and pre-wired. There's nothing to install, replace, or swap. The fixture comes ready to hardwire to your ceiling junction boxes.

Architectural footnotes for the contemporary interior — steel, brass, iron, and the honest marks of the hands that shaped them.

From Factory Floor
to Gallery Wall.
The workshops of the early twentieth century were the most honest classrooms industrial design ever had. We take our sense of order from the Bauhaus, our raw material from the foundries of Manchester, and apply contemporary proportion so the result belongs in rooms that reward close attention.
Every fixture we make refuses to hide its structure — visible rivets, exposed cable sheathing, hand-laid joinery. What once belonged on the factory floor now reads as architecture within the room.

Waxed Finish
The weight you feel in your hand is the most honest language of quality — we refuse plastic, refuse thin walls, refuse lightness for its own sake.— Radilum Material Principle N°01
Molten Form
Sand casting runs alongside lost-wax at 1,450°C, leaving each iron piece with the honest mark of its gate.
Hand Welded
TIG welds laid by hand, visible by design. Every welder signs the work with a numbered stamp — traceable back to the piece.
Slow Finish
Hand-polished, aged and waxed across nine stages. We do not chase mirrors — we chase the right matte.
Burn-In Test
A 72-hour electrical burn-in before every fixture leaves the floor.
Modern Farmhouse
A measured dose of grit for soft white interiors — morning light catches on every metal edge.
Minimal Loft
In open-plan rooms it reads less like décor and more like structure — a set of suspended architectural coordinates.
