Spanish Alabaster · Integrated LED · Modern Bowl Uplight Pendant
A modern alabaster pendant rendered as two pure geometric forms — a flared alabaster bowl below, a slim triangular alabaster connector above, suspended on a single black metal rod from a discreet ceiling canopy. The form is reductive: two pieces of stone, one line of metal, no visible hardware. The bowl glows from within when lit, with light washing upward through the stone onto the ceiling.
Each piece is hand-cut from a fresh block of Spanish alabaster quarried in Aragón — the cloud-like veining and color depth vary block to block, so no two pendants are identical. Available in two sizes (∅ 19.7″ and ∅ 27.6″) for kitchen islands, dining tables, breakfast counters, primary bedrooms, foyers, and lower-ceiling rooms. Suited to modern minimalist, contemporary, Mediterranean, warm-organic, and luxury hospitality interiors.

∅ 27.6″ · Grand
D 70 × H 70 cm. Scaled for kitchen islands, dining tables, and primary bedrooms with 9 ft+ ceilings.
Hand-cut natural Spanish alabaster. Both bowl and connector are cut and polished by hand from single blocks of Aragón alabaster — natural cloud veining, color depth, and translucency vary piece to piece. The piece you receive will not look identical to the photographs. This is the character of natural stone, not a flaw. Default integrated LED is warm white (3000K), non-dimmable. TRIAC-dimmable versions and other color temperatures (4000K neutral, 5000K daylight) are available on request — please contact us before ordering. Custom builds may affect lead time.

Installation
- Hardwires to a standard ceiling junction box — professional installation recommended.
- Hanging wire supplied at 150 cm (59″); wire length can be adjusted on-site by your electrician.
- For kitchen islands, hang the bottom of the bowl 30–36″ above the counter. For dining tables, the same 30–36″ above the tabletop.
- For bedside drops, hang at eye level when seated in bed (typically 50–60″ above the mattress).
- No bulbs to install — integrated LED is built in and pre-wired.
- Verify ceiling clearance: standard 9 ft+ ceilings work for both sizes.
- Indoor only · clean alabaster with a soft dry cloth or barely damp cloth; avoid solvents, abrasives, and acidic household cleaners which can etch porous natural stone.

FAQ
Which size suits my space? +
The ∅ 19.7″ (50 cm) Standard works as a single drop over breakfast counters, bedside tables, side tables, and small breakfast nooks. The ∅ 27.6″ (70 cm) Grand fits kitchen islands of 4–7 ft, dining tables for 4–8 people, and primary bedrooms with 9 ft+ ceilings. For very large islands or long dining tables, consider ordering a pair of Standard or two Grand pendants spaced evenly along the length.
Will my alabaster look exactly like the photo? +
No — and that's the point. Each bowl and connector is hand-cut from a fresh block of Aragón alabaster, so cloud veining patterns, color depth, and translucency vary piece to piece. Some pieces will have more dramatic streaking, some will be quieter and more uniform. The photograph shows representative character; your pendant will be unique.
Is the Veined Alabaster Pendant dimmable? +
The default integrated LED is non-dimmable warm white (3000K). TRIAC-dimmable and 0–10V-dimmable versions are available as custom builds — please contact us before ordering and specify your preferred dimming protocol so we ship the right variant. For an explanation of the difference between TRIAC and 0–10V dimming and which one suits your installation, see our technical guide on dimming protocols. Custom builds may extend lead time.
Can I get a different color temperature? +
The standard light is warm white 3000K — best for residential and hospitality spaces, and most flattering for the alabaster's natural cream tone. Neutral white (4000K) and daylight (5000K) are available on request — please contact us before ordering. For hospitality projects requiring multiple matched fixtures across guestrooms or restaurants, consistent CT specification is critical and we coordinate this directly with your project.
Does it work over a kitchen island or dining table? +
Yes — both sizes work well as single drops or paired drops. For a 4–6 ft island, a single Grand (∅ 27.6″) centers well. For 6–10 ft islands or long dining tables, two pendants spaced evenly down the length is the standard layout. For task-light intensity, layer with separate under-cabinet or recessed task lighting; the alabaster pendant provides ambient illumination, not focused workspace light.
What kind of light does it cast? +
The integrated LED inside the bowl projects light upward through the alabaster — the bowl glows from within, with light washing onto the ceiling above. The result is ambient indirect illumination — softer and more atmospheric than a downlight pendant — with the bowl reading as a glowing object on its own. Best paired with separate task lighting if you need direct workspace illumination.
Is it suitable for hospitality projects? +
Yes — this is a hospitality-grade fixture. The integrated LED, replaceable hanging wire, and consistent 3000K (default) make it suitable for hotel guestrooms, restaurants, and luxury residential projects. For project-quantity orders we coordinate matched veining tone within batches, dimming protocols, and lead times directly. Please contact us with your project specification at the earliest stage.

Sculpted by earth,
softened by light.
Rare natural alabaster, hand-carved by master artisans and illuminated from within. Every piece is unrepeatable — a singular convergence of geology and craft.
"Alabaster does not merely hold light — it breathes with it, casting a warmth that cannot be manufactured, only discovered."
Formed through millions of years of slow crystallisation, alabaster is among the world's most ancient decorative stones. When illuminated, it yields a quiet, golden luminosity — gentle, organic, irreducibly human. Our collection exists to honour that rarity, designing forms that allow the stone to speak without interruption.
No two stones
are ever alike.
Alabaster carries within it a geological autobiography — millions of years compressed into veining, crystalline structures, and tonal shifts that no craftsman could plan or replicate. Five expressive patterns emerge most consistently in our collection.

Pure
Clear SurfaceA near-uniform honey surface with barely perceptible variation — the rarest and most meditative expression of the stone.

Ink Marbling
Flowing VeinsSoft, fluid grey veining reminiscent of East Asian ink painting — atmospheric, unhurried, deeply contemplative.

Lightning Veins
Sharp BranchingBold, branching mineral lines that fracture the surface with dramatic precision — striking from any angle and in any light.

Ice Crack
Angular FracturesGeometric fissures suspended within the stone — sculptural formations that diffuse and scatter light with quiet drama.

Snowflake
Crystalline FlecksSuspended constellations of lighter crystalline matter — a delicate drift across the surface that catches light from within.
Natural Variance Is Not a Defect
Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. If you prefer a perfectly uniform finish, this collection may not align with your expectations — and we kindly invite you to consider this before placing your order.
One material,
every room in the home.
From the grandeur of a double-height chandelier to the intimate glow of a bedside lamp — alabaster scales with intention, adapting to every room's rhythm without sacrificing presence.
Five stages of
quiet craftsmanship.
Every alabaster lamp begins as raw stone and arrives in your hands only after passing through a sequence of precise, unhurried steps — performed by artisans who know how to listen to the material before they shape it.

Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.

Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.

Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.

Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.

Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.
To own an alabaster lamp is to welcome a piece of natural sculpture into your home — shaped by the earth over millennia, refined by artisans over weeks, and completed only in the moment it is illuminated.
Radilum Design Studio

Treat it as the
rare object it is.
Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord. The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.
See it in motion.
