Architectural Metal · Twin Linen Cylinder Shades · Statement Sconce

An architectural double-arm wall sconce in the language of contemporary American transitional lighting — a flat vertical metal blade rises from a slim rectangular backplate, with two horizontal arms cantilevering outward to support twin cylindrical linen shades. The composition is asymmetric and graphic: a vertical line, two horizontals, two soft cylinders.

The metal frame reads architectural rather than ornamental, with the central blade and arm geometry doing the work — no ornament beyond the proportion itself. Suited to entry halls, corridors, primary bedrooms, and flanking pairs above console tables or in formal living rooms. Available in two finishes — warm Polished Brass or cool Matte Black — to anchor traditional, transitional, and modern interiors.

Twin Cylinder Shades

Two cylindrical linen shades cast soft up-and-down light from each arm.

Architectural Blade

Flat vertical metal blade and cantilevered arms — graphic geometry, no ornament.

Two Finishes

Polished Brass for warm transitional rooms or Matte Black for modern interiors.

Polished Brass

Warm honey gold — for transitional, traditional, and warm-toned interiors.

Matte Black

Soft matte black — anchors modern, gallery, and high-contrast schemes.

Hand-finished metal & hand-stitched cylinder shades. Each piece is finished by hand — subtle variation in tone and polish depth is part of the artisanal character. The two linen cylinder shades are hand-stitched and may carry minor stitch-line variation. The shades and arms are factory-aligned for symmetry.

  • Hardwires to a standard wall junction box — professional installation recommended.
  • Backplate covers most US single-gang boxes; verify before drilling.
  • Note projection: the sconce extends 19 cm (7.5″) from the wall — verify clearance for hallway traffic and tight wall positions.
  • Install at 60–66″ above finished floor for hallways and bedside walls; flanking pairs above mantel typically center 6–9″ above mantel shelf.
  • Fits two E26 (US) or E27 (EU) screw-base bulbs — supply your own warm-white A19 LEDs.
  • Indoor only · clean linen cylinder shades with a soft brush; spot-clean only with a barely damp cloth.

What height should I install it at? +

For entry halls and corridors, install at 60–66″ from finished floor to the center of the fixture. For flanking pairs above a console or mantel, center 6–9″ above the surface. The fixture stands 67.5 cm (26.5″) tall, so verify ceiling and overhead clearance — especially for low-ceiling corridors.

Will it project too far from the wall? +

The fixture projects 19 cm (7.5″) from the wall — substantial for an architectural sconce but not unusual at this scale. In tight hallways under 36″ wide, measure carefully and prefer the wider walls of an entry or stair landing rather than a corridor pinch point.

Is the sconce dimmable? +

Yes, with the right bulbs. Each arm takes an E26 (US) or E27 (EU) screw-base bulb. Install dimmable LED A19 bulbs on a TRIAC wall dimmer and the sconce dims smoothly. Warm white 2700K–3000K is recommended for the linen-shade glow.

Which finish should I pick? +

Polished Brass suits warm transitional and traditional rooms — wood floors, beige and cream walls, brass-toned hardware. Matte Black anchors modern, gallery, and high-contrast schemes — works especially well against pale or paneled walls where the silhouette reads graphic.

What bulbs does it take, and how many? +

Two bulbs total — one in each arm. Both sockets are E26 (US) or E27 (EU) screw-base. We recommend warm-white 2700K–3000K LED A19 bulbs at 40–60W incandescent equivalent each for soft, even uplight through the linen cylinders.

CARE

  • Dust with a soft, dry cloth.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting

When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.

Kitchen

Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.

Dining Room

For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.

Bedroom

If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
