Hand-Laminated Fiberglass · Brutalist Tripod · Sculptural Floor Lamp
A figurative sculptural floor lamp in a contemporary Brutalist vocabulary — a single hand-laminated fiberglass form rises in three branching legs that brace a rectangular shade-and-light box at the top. The cast-form structure reads as carved stone or charred wood from any normal viewing distance, anchored at floor level by three planted feet that visually root the piece in place.
Drawn from the post-war Brutalist sculpture tradition — Lalanne, Giacometti-era cast bronze translated into a contemporary three-leg standing lamp form. Suited to gallery and library interiors, primary-suite seating areas, contemporary entry foyers, and luxury hotel suites in 5,000+ sq ft estates — for design-led clients drawn to the figurative sculptural lamp tradition in modern, gallery, and minimalist interiors. Available in two finishes.
Materials & Craft
Hand-Laminated Fiberglass
Single continuous fiberglass-reinforced plastic body laid up by hand — no visible seams, sculptural surface integrity.
Three-Leg Tripod Frame
Branching tripod base braces the upper light box — period-correct Brutalist sculptural geometry, structurally rigid.
Two Hand-Finished Finishes
Charred matte black or chalk-white plaster — both hand-applied, both carry subtle surface variation piece to piece.
Choose Your Finish
Black
Charred Matte Black
Reads as charred bronze or burnt wood — signature Brutalist gallery finish
White
Chalk-White Plaster
Reads as carved plaster or chalk — quieter for monochromatic and Scandinavian-modern interiors
Please Note — Hand-Laminated Variation
Hand-laminated fiberglass — every piece is unique. Surface texture, leg curvature, and finish character vary subtly piece to piece; your lamp will not match the photos at the surface level.
Specify your plug type at order. US, UK, AU, or EU available — universal 110–240V wiring. Wrong-plug shipments require return.

Installation
- Plug-in installation. No hardwiring required — plug into a standard wall outlet matching your selected plug type.
- Place on a stable level surface. The three-leg tripod base requires level flooring; hardwood, tile, or low-pile carpet preferred.
- Two-person handling required. 72.8″ tall, hand-laminated body — lift only from the base of the legs, never from the upper light box.
- Cord routing. 59″ plug cord exits at the base — plan placement near a wall outlet or use a UL-listed extension cord matched to your region.
- Care: dust with a soft dry cloth. For fingerprints, a microfiber cloth lightly dampened with distilled water. Do not use solvents, alcohol, or abrasive cleaners — these will dull the matte finish.

FAQ
Where is this lamp meant to stand? +
It's a statement floor lamp at 72.8″ tall — best placed as the focal piece in a gallery or library interior, beside a primary-suite reading chair, in a great-room corner, or as the anchor of a contemporary entry foyer. The upper light box directs warm light downward across a 12–14 ft seating zone. It needs floor space and 9 ft+ ceilings to read correctly at full presence.
Black or white — which should I choose? +
Choose Charred Matte Black for gallery interiors, dark-wood libraries, contemporary art-led rooms, and most Brutalist statement settings — the black reads as carved bronze or burnt wood. Choose Chalk-White Plaster for monochromatic interiors, Scandinavian-modern rooms, and rooms with white-on-white architectural detailing — the white reads as carved plaster and recedes more than the black. Finish is selected at checkout.
Why fiberglass instead of cast metal or stone? +
Fiberglass-reinforced plastic allows the figurative tripod form to be hand-laid in a single continuous piece — impossible to achieve in cast metal or carved stone at this scale without visible seams. The result is a lighter fixture (easier to place and reposition) with a sculptural surface that reads as solid mass rather than a hollow shell. The internal structure is reinforced with concealed metal hardware at base and upper light box.
What bulb should I use? +
1 × E26 / E27 medium-base bulb, supplied by you. We recommend E26 / E27 LED at 2700K warm white, ≤ 60W incandescent-equivalent. The upper light box conceals bulb shape, so A19 standard, globe, or vintage filament-style LEDs all work — choose for color quality (CRI 90+).
Is it dimmable? Lutron-compatible? +
Yes — pair a dimmable LED bulb with a TRIAC wall dimmer (Lutron Caséta, Diva, and standard forward-phase dimmers all work). Use the lamp on a switched outlet for wall-control dimming. The lamp itself has no built-in dimmer.
How do I clean the matte finish? Custom & trade? +
Dust with a soft dry microfiber cloth. For fingerprints, a microfiber cloth lightly dampened with distilled water. Do not use solvents, alcohol, ammonia, or abrasive cloths — these will dull the matte finish or leave permanent streaks. Custom builds: alternative finish tones (graphite, oxidized bronze, weathered cream) quotable on request. Hospitality-grade construction suits luxury hotel suites, gallery and museum interiors, and members-club lounges. Contact our trade desk for project-quantity coordination.

Architectural footnotes for the contemporary interior — steel, brass, iron, and the honest marks of the hands that shaped them.

From Factory Floor
to Gallery Wall.
The workshops of the early twentieth century were the most honest classrooms industrial design ever had. We take our sense of order from the Bauhaus, our raw material from the foundries of Manchester, and apply contemporary proportion so the result belongs in rooms that reward close attention.
Every fixture we make refuses to hide its structure — visible rivets, exposed cable sheathing, hand-laid joinery. What once belonged on the factory floor now reads as architecture within the room.

The weight you feel in your hand is the most honest language of quality — we refuse plastic, refuse thin walls, refuse lightness for its own sake.— Radilum Material Principle N°01
Molten Form
Sand casting runs alongside lost-wax at 1,450°C, leaving each iron piece with the honest mark of its gate.
Hand Welded
TIG welds laid by hand, visible by design. Every welder signs the work with a numbered stamp — traceable back to the piece.

Minimal Loft
In open-plan rooms it reads less like décor and more like structure — a set of suspended architectural coordinates.
