Hand-Carved Alabaster · Brass Frame · Modern Pendant
A modern pendant in a contemporary neoclassical vocabulary — two angular white-alabaster panels suspended within an open polished-brass frame, drawing the silhouette of a small classical lantern resolved in flat planes. The integrated LED engine concealed within the frame backlights the alabaster from above, lighting the natural veining from within so the stone reads luminous against the room.
Hand-carved alabaster panels and a hand-finished brass frame; veining, translucency, and tone vary panel to panel. Suited to kitchen islands, breakfast nooks, dining tables, primary entry foyers, and great-room reading corners in 5,000+ sq ft estates and luxury hotels — for design-led clients drawn to the modern alabaster pendant vocabulary in transitional and neoclassical interiors.
Why This Fixture
Hand-Carved Solid Alabaster
Two angular alabaster panels cut from solid blocks. Veining and translucency vary piece to piece — every fixture is one of one.
Polished Brass Frame
Hand-finished iron frame in polished brass — angular, open, drawn in clean planes rather than period scrollwork.
Integrated LED Backlight
Concealed LED engine within the frame backlights the alabaster from above, lighting the natural veining from within.
Finish & Light
Polished Brass & White Alabaster · Warm or Cool Light
Single standard finish with two LED color-temperature options at checkout — warm white (2700K) for residential dining and reading; cool white (4000K) for kitchen and gallery interiors. Veining differs significantly between fixtures.
Hand-carved alabaster — every piece is unique. Veining, translucency, and tone vary panel to panel; your fixture will not match the photos at the stone level.
Default LED is non-dimming. Standard wall dimmers will not work — TRIAC-dimmable wiring is available as a custom build; contact us before ordering.

Installation
- Licensed electrician required. Hardwired ceiling pendant via supplied canopy plate and modular suspension rod.
- Specialist installer recommended. Alabaster is a soft mineral — handle the panels with care during un-crating; lift only by the brass frame.
- Hang the lower edge 30–34″ above the kitchen island or dining table, or 7 ft+ above the floor in walking zones. Adjust the modular rod (12″ + 12″) on site to suit the ceiling.
- Specify color temperature at order. 2700K warm or 4000K cool — chosen at checkout, not field-changeable.
- Freight delivery. Alabaster panels individually wrapped — un-crate slowly with two people.

Frequently Asked
What size kitchen island or dining table does it suit? +
The Ø 14″ pendant suits kitchen islands and dining tables 36–60″ long when used as a single pendant, or 60–96″ when installed in a row of 2–3. For islands and tables wider than 60″, plan for multiples spaced 24–30″ apart center-to-center. Hang the lower edge 30–34″ above the island or table top, measured from the finished surface.
Warm or cool light — which should I choose? +
Choose 2700K warm white for residential dining rooms, breakfast nooks, foyers, and reading corners — it reads as candle light through the alabaster and warms the natural cream-and-amber veining. Choose 4000K cool white for kitchen islands, gallery interiors, and modern white-and-stone rooms — it reads as daylight and emphasizes the cool side of the alabaster veining. Color temperature is selected at checkout and is not field-changeable, so confirm before ordering.
Will my fixture match the photographs? +
The brass frame and silhouette are made to consistent specification — your fixture will read identically in form. The alabaster, however, is hand-carved from natural blocks: veining patterns, translucency, exact tone, and minor mineral inclusions differ between panels. The fixture you receive will sit within the same visual language as the photographs but will be visibly distinct at the veining level.
Is it dimmable? Lutron-compatible? +
The default integrated LED is non-dimming and will not work with standard TRIAC wall dimmers. TRIAC-dimmable wiring is available as a custom build — please specify when contacting us before ordering. The dimmable variant is compatible with Lutron Caséta, Diva, and forward-phase wall dimmers. See our dimming protocols guide.
How do I clean the alabaster? +
Dust with a soft dry microfiber cloth only. Do not use water, glass cleaner, ammonia, vinegar, or any liquid cleaner — alabaster is porous and water will discolor or stain the surface. For fingerprints, use a dry chamois or soft cotton cloth. Keep the fixture away from high-humidity rooms (steam-shower baths, immediately above stovetops) to preserve the stone over time.
Suitable for hospitality and trade projects? +
Yes — hospitality-grade. Hand-carved alabaster and integrated sealed LED suit luxury hotel suites and presidential suites, restaurant private dining and bar areas, members-club lounges, and contemporary or neoclassical residential projects. Contact our trade desk for matched alabaster tone within batches and project-quantity coordination.

Sculpted by earth,
softened by light.
Rare natural alabaster, hand-carved by master artisans and illuminated from within. Every piece is unrepeatable — a singular convergence of geology and craft.
"Alabaster does not merely hold light — it breathes with it, casting a warmth that cannot be manufactured, only discovered."
Formed through millions of years of slow crystallisation, alabaster is among the world's most ancient decorative stones. When illuminated, it yields a quiet, golden luminosity — gentle, organic, irreducibly human. Our collection exists to honour that rarity, designing forms that allow the stone to speak without interruption.
No two stones
are ever alike.
Alabaster carries within it a geological autobiography — millions of years compressed into veining, crystalline structures, and tonal shifts that no craftsman could plan or replicate. Five expressive patterns emerge most consistently in our collection.

Pure
Clear SurfaceA near-uniform honey surface with barely perceptible variation — the rarest and most meditative expression of the stone.

Ink Marbling
Flowing VeinsSoft, fluid grey veining reminiscent of East Asian ink painting — atmospheric, unhurried, deeply contemplative.

Lightning Veins
Sharp BranchingBold, branching mineral lines that fracture the surface with dramatic precision — striking from any angle and in any light.

Ice Crack
Angular FracturesGeometric fissures suspended within the stone — sculptural formations that diffuse and scatter light with quiet drama.

Snowflake
Crystalline FlecksSuspended constellations of lighter crystalline matter — a delicate drift across the surface that catches light from within.
Natural Variance Is Not a Defect
Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. If you prefer a perfectly uniform finish, this collection may not align with your expectations — and we kindly invite you to consider this before placing your order.
One material,
every room in the home.
From the grandeur of a double-height chandelier to the intimate glow of a bedside lamp — alabaster scales with intention, adapting to every room's rhythm without sacrificing presence.
Five stages of
quiet craftsmanship.
Every alabaster lamp begins as raw stone and arrives in your hands only after passing through a sequence of precise, unhurried steps — performed by artisans who know how to listen to the material before they shape it.

Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.

Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.

Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.

Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.

Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.
To own an alabaster lamp is to welcome a piece of natural sculpture into your home — shaped by the earth over millennia, refined by artisans over weeks, and completed only in the moment it is illuminated.
Radilum Design Studio

Treat it as the
rare object it is.
Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord. The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.
See it in motion.
