Bohemia is built from a single organic glass form that merges two volumes into one continuous shape — an outer shell in vivid color and an inner cavity that remains pure white. When lit, the light source sees only white and projects clean, neutral illumination into the room with no color bleed. The color lives entirely on the exterior of the shade, visible from outside as a sculptural object, leaving the quality of light itself uncompromised.
The translucent glass allows the interior glow to read through the colored shell as a soft luminous halo — the shade is lit from within but the room is lit cleanly from below. At 40 cm across and just 21 cm tall, the proportions are wide and shallow, projecting light broadly downward over a table or island while the colored glass becomes the visual focal point from eye level.

The light output is neutral white regardless of shade color. The interior surface is white on all versions — no colored light is cast onto the table or ceiling below. The color is a property of the shade as an object, not of the light it produces.
The shade looks very different on vs. off. When unlit, the glass appears as a solid, opaque colored object. When lit, the translucent shell glows from within as a luminous halo and the organic form becomes fully visible. View both states before deciding on color — see the comparison image below.

Does the shade color affect the light in the room? +
No — the interior of every Bohemia shade is white, regardless of which color you choose. The bulb only illuminates the white inner surface, so the light projected downward and into the room is always clean and neutral. The glass color is visible on the outside of the shade and creates a glowing halo effect, but it does not tint the light output in any meaningful way.
How many should I hang over a dining table? +
At ∅ 40 cm, a single Bohemia suits a round or square table up to 100 cm and compact dining nooks. For a standard rectangular dining table (140–180 cm), two pendants hung in a row — spaced 50–60 cm apart — provide even coverage and a visually balanced composition. Mixing colors (e.g. one Red, one Green) can work well in eclectic settings; matching colors is the more cohesive choice.
What bulb should I use? +
A 6–10W LED bulb at 2700–3000K warm white per socket (E26 for US, E27 internationally). Warm white enhances the ambient quality of the light and complements all three glass colors. Avoid bulbs above 10W — the glass is translucent and a very bright source can make the shade appear too intense from certain angles. Bulbs are not included.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
