Installation

FAQ
Why does the actual product look lighter than some images? +
Following manufacturing refinements, the lamp body's rust finish now reads slightly whiter and brighter than in older catalogue images. The reference photo above represents the current production. Each piece still carries individual variation in tone — this is intentional and part of the rustic character.
Which size should I choose? +
As a guide: Small (∅ 21 cm) suits hallways, reading nooks, or use in clusters of 3–5. Medium (∅ 35 cm) is the most versatile size — works above kitchen islands, dining tables for 2–4, or as a single statement. Large (∅ 48 cm) is best for high ceilings, large dining tables, or open-plan living rooms.
Can I cluster multiple Lanister pendants together? +
Yes — the Lanister is designed for clustering. Mix sizes for visual interest, or hang multiple of the same size at staggered drop heights. Allow 30–50 cm of horizontal spacing between fixtures and use separate ceiling outlets or a cluster canopy for a clean install.
Which bulb do you recommend? +
A warm white (2700K) LED bulb in E26 or E27 base, at 4–8W. A vintage-style Edison filament bulb works particularly well — the visible filament casts beautiful patterned shadows through the mesh shade. Avoid cool-white or daylight bulbs, which feel out of place against the rustic finish.
Can the hanging wire be shortened? +
Yes. The 59″ / 150 cm wire can be adjusted on-site during installation to suit your ceiling height — your electrician can shorten it to the desired drop length.
Is the fixture dimmable? +
The pendant itself has no built-in dimmer. To dim, install a dimmable LED bulb paired with a compatible wall dimmer switch (TRIAC dimmer recommended).
How do I clean the mesh shade? +
Dust gently with a soft brush or feather duster. For accumulated dust inside the mesh, use a vacuum with a soft brush attachment on low setting. Avoid wet cleaning — moisture can affect the rust patina finish.
